Nike releases new home and away jerseys for Malaysia national team

Since the cooperation between the Malaysian Football Association and Nike in 2007, Nike has created seven home jerseys of different styles for the Malaysian national team known as the “Malayan Tigers”. All home jerseys have adopted a simple round neck design. With the release of the new home jersey, “Malayan Tigers” finally ushered in the first home jersey with a lapel design. At the same time, the new away jersey also has completely different changes from the past. In this new away jersey, the blue, white and red colors used in the previous away jersey will never be seen.

Malaysian Football Association President Datuk Haji Hamidin (Datuk Haji Hamidin) said that although the Malaysian national team’s new home jersey is simple in style, the new collar design makes it more tidy. The away jersey with new colors will ensure that the spirit of the Malayan Tigers remains strong.

The new home jersey of the Malaysian national team inherits its iconic yellow tradition, with black sleeves and lapels, to continue the heritage and development of the national team, and at the same time show a new and more modern image.

The new away jersey is mainly black, with five yellow twills inspired by the Malaysian flag added to the front of the jersey. At the same time, the collar, cuffs and breathable strips on both sides of the body are also decorated with yellow. Although a stripe pattern inspired by the national flag is added, this new away jersey does not use the blue, white, and red colors used in previous away jerseys.
