New Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing arrives in Malaysia

Chinanews.com, Kuala Lumpur, December 21st. On the afternoon of December 20th, Ouyang Yujing, the newly appointed ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia, arrived in Malaysia and assumed his new post. Minister Tang Rui of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia and officials from the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia went to the airport to greet him.

Ambassador Ouyang said in an interview with the media at the airport that Malaysia’s beautiful scenery, cultural diversity and tolerance, and people’s enthusiasm and kindness, especially the great support and efforts of the Malaysian government and friends from all walks of life for China-Malaysia relations over the years left a deep impression on me. Being able to go to Malaysia this time is not only my honor, but also a kind of fate. In the next few years, I hope to have the opportunity to deeply appreciate the “beauty” of Malaysia, sow more seeds of friendship for the development of China-Malaysia relations, and look forward to harvesting more results.

Ambassador Ouyang said that the China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic partnership has achieved long-term development through the joint efforts of both sides. The two sides have always cooperated on the principle of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and solved problems and overcome challenges through friends and partners. In the face of the sudden disaster of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, China and Malaysia have supported each other and overcome the difficulties together, and the friendship between the two countries has been further sublimated. In the next step of fighting the epidemic and restoring economic and social development, China and Malaysia will join hands to meet challenges. As the 16th Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia, I am on my mission to Malaysia at this moment. I deeply feel that my mission is glorious and the responsibility is heavy. I will do my best and do my best to work with friends from all walks of life in Malaysia to push China-Malaysia relations to a new level, so that China and Malaysia will always be good neighbors, good friends, good partners and good brothers.
