Giant panda “Yiyi” stranded in Malaysia due to epidemic was originally scheduled to be sent back to China in April

On December 2, Malaysia’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Sang Suan Nuya, revealed that the second cub of Chinese giant pandas “Xingxing” and “Liangliang” who lived in Malaysia, “Yiyi”, should have been in April 2020. Yue was sent back to China, but still in Malaysia because of the epidemic.

Sang Suannuya said: “The department will implement the return procedure as soon as possible in accordance with the agreement (with China).”

Previously, the Malaysian National Zoo had also stated to the outside world that the giant panda Yiyi, who was born in the zoo in January 2018, is currently in good condition in all aspects and can leave for China at any time.
